Slice of Life: Maslow Before Bloom #SOL20 #TWTBlog

Words wash over me. Words surround me. Words remind me that school is so much more than a lesson or an objective. Words show that students need to connect with people they know right now. Words I heard from teachers today:

My heart aches

Are they ok

What is enough

I haven’t heard from…

Are they scared

I miss them

I am worried

I need to see them

How will we connect

Do they understand

Are they safe

I want them to know I’m here

I want them to know I love them

Words lead us to what matters. Relationships matter. Interactions matter. Teachers matter — thank you for all you do and are doing!

Thank you, Stacey, Beth, Betsy, Kathleen, Melanie, Lanny, Kelsey, Marina, Amy, and Therapi for hosting this weekly forum and the March Challenge. Check out the writers, readers, and teachers here.
