It's Monday! Biographies That Inspire ... #bookaday #booklove #BetterTogether #IMWAYR
My #neighborhoodbookaday #communitybookaday read-aloud groups continue! We are now in our tenth week of coming together each weekday morning to read. I highly recommend doing this if you have some young friends in your life or neighborhood. A few weeks ago, I shared a text set we curated together: Characters with CAN Do Attitudes. This inquiry propelled us into exploring biographies together – people who have CAN do attitudes.
Here are some new biographies we read together:
The students I am meeting with love learning about, discussing, and being inspired to change by people in our past and current history. I decided to create a biography bin in the grades 3-5 genre text set shelf and in most of the topic/interest shelves that are organized by complexity in the virtual bookroom. If you think your students would like to learn more about people who make a difference in our world check out these biographies in the free virtual bookroom of digital texts I created: https://padlet.com/clare_landrigan/rxeejk29cavxh5oi
If you want to learn more about how to use the free virtual bookroom to curate a virtual classroom library , check out my step-by-step instructions and resources: https://www.clarelandrigan.com/
