My #neighborhoodbookaday #communitybookaday read-aloud groups continue! We are now in our seventh week of coming together each weekday morning to read. I highly recommend doing this if you have some young friends in your life or neighborhood. A few weeks ago, we read these books together:
It got us thinking and talking about characters who “don’t give up” or “find a way around a problem.” We started reading more books about characters who – in the words of the kids – have a “can do” attitude. I created a virtual classroom library for them to start exploring and discussing other books in clubs. They decided which books had “CAN Do Attitudes.” Here’s the digital bin they created:
